Samarium Cobalt magnet is a type of powerful rare earth magnet which primary composed of rare earth element Samarium (Sm) and transition metal element Cobalt (Co). SmCo is abbreviation of Samarium Cobalt. SmCo magnets have superior temperature stability while maintaining their magnetic performance under extremely high or low temperature conditions. Maximum operating temperature of ultra high temperature SmCo magnet can fulfill 550 degrees Celsius. For cryogenic application, SmCo magnet can be successfully operated as low as 2k which very near to absolute zero. However, SmCo magnets are belonging to brittle material and prone to cracking or chipping
