Product Description

Magnetic door catch, also known as magnetic door latch, magnetic door stops, or door magnet, is a conventional and effective option of keeping doors held in normal position once it closed. Magnetic door latch is well adapting for almost any applications where need a lightweight door to stay closed and a mechanical latch is not required. Magnetic door stops can be composed of magnetic catch body and a ferrous striker plate. Magnetic catch body should be fitted on the front of the top or bottom plates of the cabinet, and the striker plate is fitted on the door side. Door magnet is available in various styles and configurations with pull force ranging from 1kg to 45kg.
Almost all magnetic door latches utilizes ferrite magnet which means there are no corrodible components in the whole product. Therefore, it can last a long time even under the harshest conditions. Besides smart structure, magnetic circuit of magnetic door latch is also very creditable. Magnetic door catches are essentially a sandwich magnet assembly. Simulation results indicate that its pull force will be significantly greater than regular pot magnet assemblies under relatively small air gap.

Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions of Magnetic Door Catch
1. Place the magnetic catch body on the cabinet shelf. Align the front of the catch body with the front edge of the shelf and make pencil marks in the mounting holes of the catch body.
2. Drill pilot holes at the pencil mark and screw the magnetic catch body to the shelf.
3. Please the striker plate against the inside of the cabinet door, and position it so it is directly across from the magnet when the door is closed. Drill pilot holes and screw the striker plate to the door.
4. Closing the door and check whether the magnet holds the door closed or not. If the force needed to open the door seems weak, loosen the screws on the catch body and slide it forward, then retighten the screws.
